“A man who never lost himself in a cause bigger than himself has missed one of life’s mountaintop experiences.
Only in losing himself does he find himself.”

Battleship Missouri Memorial

As we recall the sacrifice of so many, on Memorial day, in A View From the Road, I offer you a view of the Might Mo – the USS Missouri, retired from active service; but now permanently docked in Hawaii, near the USS Arizona.  It was on the USS Missouri that the Japanese surrendered, finally putting an end to World War II.  One of the true honors of my life was being able to tour this ship, and stand on spot where one of the worst moments in history, finally finished.   I would also like to let you know that you can tour the ship, if you are in Hawaii; and that you may support her through your donations.  Please visit her website to learn more about her and what you can do to help keep her story alive.
