I love the combination of pink and grey, and was first drawn to this painting because of the colors, and the expresson on the womans face, which I find rather curious; but I must admit, the title rather tickled me – the Nanny looks stupendous!
Eva Gonzalès’ work is new to me. She was Édouard Manet’s only “formal student” and like him was a French Impressionist.
