“Kiva – Loans that Change Lives”
I do not know if you have seen the commercials for Kiva, an online site which promotes micro-financing, but they certainly caught my eye.
The notion is simple; Kiva helps you to connect with someone in need of what you may think of as a small loan, perhaps a few hundred dollars. You lend them the money; and they use the money to start a business which then allows them to repay the loan.
