To love a painting is to feel that this presence is… not an object but a voice.

Skating in Central Park
By
Agnes Tait
Leave it to a true New Yorker to so perfectly capture Central Park, teaming with festive merry makers.
Skating in Central Park is perhaps Tait’s most famous painting, commissioned by the Public Works of Arts project, during the Great Depression, in 1934; it playfully features bright, bold, colors and an abundance of action from both the people and animals in the painting.
Currently housed at the National Museum of American Art in Washington D.C., stirring in at least one viewer, a desire to head toward New York!
Art can never exist without naked beauty displaced.
