Studio B
Nashville
Unplanned stops are always my favorites, I have no idea what I was driving around Nashville looking for, when I spied the RCA Victor sign; and decided to pull over and investigate, this rather unassuming building, located at 222 Fifth Avenue South, on Music Row.

I am not a huge country music fan; but there are certain artists who do warm my soul, on occasion, like Miss Patsy Cline. Then there is Elvis Presley, who I loved, not for his music, I am sorry to say, but for all of that on-screen charm, in those silly movies that he hated, but that made the 3:30 movie a delight.
Before Studio A was built next door, to accommodate a need for greater space, Studio B was simply known as the RCA Recording Studio, where from the late 1950’s through the mid 1970’s, the Nashville sound was birthed. The Studio closed the day after Mr. Presley died; though “the Christmas lights strung up in July to help get him in the mood to record his last Christmas album are still in place.”1
It is now part of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and open for tours. It would have been nice to listen to them jam.
