Autumn has Arrived
I normally cannot wait to decorate for autumn, my favorite time of year; however, the chilly New England nights, and leaves which have already begun to turn, have made me a bit reluctant to let go of summer this year and decorate for fall. But today the wreaths will be changed, the pumpkins put out, and I share with you the newest addition to my home – a fall village.
It will not grow beyond where it now sits, as the Christmas Village has become a metropolis, but I could not help myself. I blame the acorns, which keep falling all around me, and which I keep picking up, though I feel a bit guilty, as I know the squirrels are also seeking them out.
I wish you the warmth of this season of change, which is so beautifully encompassed by traditions that celebrate love, life, and bounty! May your hearts and tables be overflowing though out this splendid autumn.
