To love a painting is to feel that this presence is… not an object but a voice.

Mother and Child

by

Pablo Picasso

In honor of Mother’s and their Day, I offer you a look at Pablo Picasso’s Mother and Child, painted in 1921; and reflecting the impregnable bond between mother and child.  There is a stillness and strength, in this painting, which I find comforting.  I love that the figures are bold and seem so very content locked in each other’s countenance.

Art can never exist without naked beauty displayed.
