Reverend Stella Lucille Cooper Mosqueda

The Reverend Stella Lucille Cooper Mosqueda, my Mother, passed away on December 31, 2012, surrounded by her family, in Georgetown, Massachusetts.  Stella was born in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, on March 9, 1931, she traveled to Cuba, on her 21st birthday, where she met and married her husband, the Reverend Ignacio Avila Mosqueda, who preceded her in death.  Throughout her life she worked tirelessly for the Lord, both as a minister with the Assemblies of God, and as a nurse.  She is survived by her children, Cecilia Joy Marquez, Cristina Jill Mosqueda, Caroline Joan Mosqueda Gregan, grandchildren, Beth Smith, Allison Parker, and Hannah Gregan, and great-grand child, Annaka Smith, as well as Juan Marquez, Kate Scarcella, Doug Gregan, Kyle Smith, and Nic Parker; brothers Delbert Cooper, Glenn Cooper, Oscar Cooper, and Gary Cooper.  Her parents, Delbert and Hazel Cooper, preceded her in death, as did her sisters Irene and Helen Patton, along with brothers Lester Cooper, Melvin Jackie Cooper, William Cooper, and David Cooper.

She will be honored at a Memorial Service on January 6th at 3 p.m. at New Life Christian Assembly of God Church, 966 Main St, Haverhill, MA 01830, (978) 373-1379. Following the service, gifts of flowers will be delivered to local nursing homes.  She has gone on to a better life.

In the coming days, we shall be posting words and pictures which celebrate the woman who inspired my life, and thus my words and pictures.
