I know I promised to leave the Spaniards but how can I not share Adam and Eve?
Adán y Eva by Rosario de Velasco
Madrid 1910
I am always amazed at the amount of different tones used to make flesh come to life like this. If you were to touch this painting, you would expect it to be warm! I am a hopless case concerning art…even my stick figures are bad! 🙂 This will end up as my desktop for a few weeks for sure 🙂
Dedra, that is so poetic! I was amazed with this gallery of art; the paintings were breathtaking. Now, as for the creating art . . . perhaps you not yet found your medium; stick men can be overrated!
hehehe funny. I make a mean scrapbook page. That is the extent of my artistic abilities. 🙂
This reminds me of Gauguin, but for today. Softer, cleaner, more refined… By the way-scrapbooking is fabulous! The colors are so warm.
The Sunyer is very nice. I’m guessing the above comments are for another painting.
Wow, isn’t this the 1930’s in a nutshell-colorwise.
