Magnolias
This ubiquitous tree pleasantly dots not only the South but many other parts of the country, always inspiring, at least in me, a bit of wonder, and a desire to touch the soft, cushiony petals of the large flowers.
While the trees are usually very large, providing ample shade on a warm day, I feel rather certain that they are so oft planted for the beauty which they bring.
Such Perfection; I do wonder how these flowers might fare in vase, as a bouquet?
I simply adore the delicate structure which unfolds in front of you, when you closely examine the tree in bloom.
