The Ducklings Dressed Up For Winter

This is not an old post card, in the least, but it certainly is one of my most favorite of images. I love Nancy Schon’s bronze duckling sculpture, which is a tribute to Robert McCloskey’s story, Make Way for the Ducklings.  The sculpture lives at the Boston Public Garden, and for years I have delighted in dropping by, whether alone or with company to see the ducklings – when I found this postcard, an image created by Linda Levine, with the ducks dressed up for winter, I could not resist bringing it home.
