Pulse 6/12/16
There is something in the air today
It’s not right
It’s not fair today
49 families left in despair today
49 less beautifully special lives with hearts of gold they’ll never get to share today
And if you pace the world blindly
You were made aware today
Hatred still billows from the hollow souls of the scared today
But the bigots and racists got nowhere today
Blood shed on the dance floor
But we won’t be scared away
There is something in the air tonight
The need to prevail
The drive to fight
The desperation to change the minds of
those who still don’t think we are right
Who deny that LOVE IS INDEED LOVE
Who’s ignorance resulted in this tragic plight
But there is promise in the air
I can feel it
And we may never be fully repaired
But we’re healing
Though your act of violence sent my brothers and sisters reeling
We are warriors
Tomorrows floor is today’s ceiling
