Notes From Mother – A Bible Study Regarding the Terminal Generation
In going through my file of Mother’s letters, I found this Bible Study about the Terminal Generation that she had sent me, which seems rather apropos given the current events of our day. May you be blessed by her efforts.
“Luke 17:26 – As it was in the day of Noah . . . Genesis 6:5 “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.”
Terminal Generation
The Knowledge Explosion – Daniel 12:4 “But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” From the Garden of Eden till 1900 men walked or rode horses like King David and Julius Cesar. In a few years man invented cars, jet planes, and space shuttles. Science has had to redefine death; men can be kept alive indefinitely by machines and miracle drugs. You can sit at the internet and drown yourself in information.
Plague in the Middle East. Zechariah 14: 12-15 “This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another. Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.” Plague will be sent to those who fight against Jerusalem in the last days. Before the Atom bomb it was a mystery how this could happen. It can produce a temperature of 150 million degrees in one millionth of a second, atomic warfare will be used in the Middle East.
The rebirth of Israel, every major prophet testified that God would bring Jews out of the Gentile countries. On May 15, 1948 the U. N. formally recognized Israel; it is reborn in a day. Isaiah 66:8 “Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.”
The Jews will return home. Jeremiah 23: 7-8 they shall dwell in their own land. Jerimiah told it first, now the news. “So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”
Jews no longer under Gentile rule. Luke 21: 24 “They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” – Psalms 102:16 “For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.” The Jewish people did not control the holy city from A.D. 70 when the Romans attacked the city and destroyed the temple until the 6 Day War of 1967. Jesus said that Jerusalem would be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled in Luke 21: 24 – Psalms 102:16. Jerusalem is under the control of the Jewish people for the first time in 2000 years.
International instant communication – Revelations 11: 3, 7-10. “And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth” The 2 witness will be seen (dead in the streets) by V. 9, peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations for 3 ½ days – this was not possible before T.V. followed by international satellites; today yes we are the Terminal Generation.
Days of deception Matthew 24: 4, 5, 24. “Jesus answered: Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.” “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Many false Christ and false prophets, secular humanism, new age philosophies and theories, Mother Goddess, Satanism, apostate church, etc.
Famines and Pestilence – America could feed the world, but farmers are paid not to plant certain crops lest they glut the market and drive the prices down. Mathew 24: 7 – 8 “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
Earthquakes – God uses earthquakes at least 33 times to get man’s attention – Exodus 19:18 “Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain[a] trembled violently.´ The earth quaked at Mt. Sinan, (10 Commandments) Matthew 28:2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it”; to roll the stone from the borrowed tomb.
As in the days of Noah – Matthew 24: 36 – 37, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. II Timothy 3: 1-5, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. Same as Genesis 6: 5, “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time;” same as today’s news.
