A Loss

Nancy Reagan

“We were always vigilant to not be ‘careless,’ as Ronnie put it in one letter, ‘with the treasure that is ours – namely what we are to each other.”

I was sadden to learn that Former First Lady, Nancy Regan, had passed away this morning; I have a had a day largely spent away from the electronic world, but heard several news reports, and see many have written lovely tributes to Mrs. Regan, and while I fear I could not add to the reflections, from those who knew her, I would be remorse to not at least say that she was a woman I admired, and her death is a loss to our nation. Among many other things, Mrs. Regan was deeply devoted to her husband, as he was to her, and they shared a story book, or perhaps silver screen love, which I feel rather certain we would all like to experience for ourselves.  In an era when so many relationships are ephemeral, their love lasted and thrived, keeping alive the hope of happily ever after and until death do us part – may she rest in peace, and may she once again find herself snuggling with the man of her dreams.
