Staying in Missouri a while longer, I share a painting given to Sir Winston Churchill, by Westminster College, after the Prime Ministers speech, “The Sinew of Peace”, on March 5, 1946; the painting done in a energetic and lively palette, depicts two cowboys idyllically at work, mending the fence. The painter, Thomas Hart Benton, a native of Missouri, has fluidity to his work, which I find most charming; I love the America which he captures on canvas.

I would love to add this painting to my cowboy collection!
