What an amazing place! If you ever find yourself feeling a bit blue about the state of affairs, in our nation, hop in your car, get on a plane or train and step into this bastion of American history; you will soon be filled with hope and the right kind of pride.
The museum offers free admission, and you are greeted by retired military personal that could not be kinder, more respectful, and willing to help and enlighten.
There is so much to see and experience in this museum, I cannot more strongly enough recommend it to you; and it all-age friendly!
The aircrafts and models are mesmerizing, as are the various exhibits which simulate everything from a military camp in the Pacific, Main Street U.S.A., to the inside of a state room on a carrier, and so much more.
I have to say, I took hundreds of pictures, at the Museum, but their website does a much better job of sharing their treasures, than I can, thus may I encourage to take a look:
