I love when I come upon the unexpected View From the Road; which is exactly what happened while driving through Memphis. I spotted Sam Phillips, Sun Studio, which he opened in 1950, and where he went on to record the men and women who would lay the foundation in music, which would not only help to define the latter part of the twentieth century, but continue to influence music today.
