Idle Hours

H. Siddons Mowbray is perhaps best known of his murals; but I am drawn to the serenity of Idle Hours, and oil on canvas, which is housed at the Smithsonian.
The lovely subjects, perfectly arrayed in scrumptious silk, have obviously been enjoying a most pleasurable of moments; and I so wonder what has captured both of their attentions, as they look off in their dreamy state toward some unknown wonder.
