I must confess that I initially thought this was a Degas, as opposed to a work by Everett Shinn, an American artist, who was part of “the Eight”; the Ashcan School of realist.
I love the man, on the left side of the canvas, who seems so thoroughly captivated by the stage of ballerinas.
