A View of Sam Houston
Driving on the I-45, I spied the 77 foot tall sculpture of General Sam Houston, “A Tribute to Courage” and had to exit, to take a closer look; I do love how everything is always bigger in Texas!

While normally I try to avoid taking photographs of unknown subjects, especially without their consent, as I waited for this couple to move on, it occurred to me that they might be useful in helping you see exactly how large this sculpture is – by the way, admission to the sculpture is free, it was created by David Adickes in 1994.
